Elections 2010

This is one of those times i wish i have Pinoy TV. Kaka-bitin naman yung mga post of my media friends about the election on Facebook. But it's apparent, Noynoy would be the next Commander in Chief. Back in my Kapuso days I remember having breakfast with him at this restaurant in Tomas Morato that i forgot the name. We'll let's just say I was the assigned producer of his then girlfriend. I have yet to find out wether it's something to be proud of. Well he seems to be a good person, and promising too. With a hero as a father and a former President mom with a good track record (let's not talk about the youngest sister ok?) And I've never heard him being involved in corruption. He's been a politician for a while but his position never made him wealthier. I am just hoping that Noynoy is the change my birth country has long been waiting for. But as long as those filthy politicians are given a seat in office, the idea of change will remain profound. Does it have to take another dictator to get rid of them? I hope it does not! Noynoy's reign may not be the total change pinoys are looking for but at least i hope he'll give the country a good starting point. I guess it does not make sense to read this from someone who has left and and only plans to come back for short vactions. But I'd really love to see the Philippines shine for real.

X-MEN

i was having second thoughts about going to the movie house this morning to watch X-MEN ORIGINS .... but ikel is really excited to see it and i didn't wanna disappoint him kaya go na rin

initially i wasn't really in the mood coz although i'm a huge movie fan, i really seldom go to theaters...i would only go if it's a movie i'm dying to see and can't wait to be released in dvd ........

reason #1 i can't relax inside the moviehouse coz i can't stop thinking how many people have already sat on my seat and how much of their germs they have left

reason #2 if there is a virus going around, the movie house is a good place to spread it, i can't even put my hands on the arm rest today coz i'm so paranoid of the swine flu (kasalanan ito ng movie na "out break")

reason #3 i am just kuripot so i just wait for most movies in netflix, i can rent hard to find movies pa and it's only $15 unlimited dvd's plus unlimited online movies...saka ikel and his dad did a good job installing our sound system kaya almost like being in the theater na rin

GOING BACK TO XMEN...i am so glad i didn't let my paranoia take over me, coz I LOVED IT...for someone who is not a big fan of special affects, super heroes and action flix and for someone who does not know a lot about X-men, I'M SURPRISED I LOVED IT.

the over rated kare-kare

i really dont get what the deal is with this very famous filipino dish "kare-kare"...i've mastered the art of cooking it ( it's my hubby's favorite) but i still think it's over rated...well in fairness the sauce is really good, maybe it's the ox tail that's a little bit too much to me.....like every bite is a potential clog in my arteries...now i'm not trying to be pretentious here feeling like a healthy eater coz i am not, i like sisig, lechon etc, etc,...don't get me wrong, i still eat kare-kare coz i love it with bagoong.....i just don't get what the hype is all about..like there's some special occassion when it's served at the table...i know i'm not making any sense....i am really sleepy...goodnight
