25 RANDOM THINGS

a friend of mine tagged me in facebook… and I thought of posting it here


1. i am nearsighted...i started wearing glasses more than a year ago …..and recently just switched to contacts… it’s fun to wear glasses sometimes for the geek chic look but not when ur stuck with it.

2. i hate turkey.... especially with the smoke flavor... just thinking about it makes me nauseated...my bad relationship with turkey started when i was pregnant with lance and I never got over it …just thinking about the smell of smoked turkey legs makes me want to puke.

3. I love summer and loathe winter…. You can actually use the thermometer to determine my mood ….the higher the degrees the happier I am … …there’s countless things I love about summertime… the smoldering heat of the sun touching my skin actually excites me…it also reminds me of the Philippines….whereas the winter, makes me sluggish… I am too lazy to even go to the groceries these days…it makes me just wanna hibernate along with the trees around me

4. i recently developed love for books particularly novels…( thanks to meyer and her lovable vampires)… after I got over my mania with the twilight saga, obsession switched to “Q&A”, that was the premise of the movie “slumdog millionaire” …the film got me obsessed too… so you see I have a tendency to be obsessive ….i don’t lend my books too… I will only loan it to somebody who can assure me that they will finish it in less than a week and return it without any folds or creases… I am currently starting on “ a thousand splendid suns”

5. i can’t sleep without putting lotion on my feet , I can forget the rest of my body but not the feet dude!


6. i am a cry baby. I cry when I am so happy, I cry on a funny joke, I cry when I’m angry or disappointed …i would watch movies that make me cry over and over and still cry watching it no matter how many times I’ve seen it…

7. I have to wash my hands everytime I touch money…. Be it coin or paper

8. I love pork…lechon, lechon kawali, pork barbeque, pork sinigang, pork adobo, corned pork…..can’t imagine what life will be without pork…

9. i fear roller coasters or any ride of that kind….and yes even waterpark slides

10. I hate movies with too much special effects…or rather my gauge of a good special effects is when I didn’t notice there was even one at all…. i love MTV’ish movies (without the music of course)….the more surreal the better, but everything has to make sense…I love psychological thriller too… the movie "exorcist" is too scary it gave me a headache….and “ring U” rin pala…. After watching it….I had a nightmare about “sadako” sitting on my bed staring at me…inay!!!!

11. i think I am an good writer but I suck at fiction....that’s why ended up at news and public affairs…. I initially wanted to be a screenwriter, but no luck folks….that’s coz I can only write the truth, bwahahahah, which also reminds me, I suck at lying and i‘m always the last to know the latest gossips around me

13. I love my baby so much…he’s my life, my everything…. he’s 3yrs old and still sleeps with me and my husband….i actually think I will be more anxious than him when he starts sleeping in his own room… and of course how can I forget my dear husband, the most patient man in the world… …..i don’t even know how he bears with my weird obsessions, my paranoia and my mood swings…I guess I better thank his mom for doing a great job developing such a great EQ.

14. i don’t need to have the best cellphone like most of us Asians… first of, my baby like to play and mess with it…. second, I think it’s a complete waste of money, third, I hate talking on the phone…I work at a call center, so go figure…. i’d rather talk to the person face to face or chat on the internet

15. I hate diet food… I’d eat what I want in moderation…. but I will not eat diet stuff especially diet coke, it’s like a total blasphemy to the best beverage ever.

16. I can’t keep my hair long for longer than a year…. I know it looks better but I prevent myself from getting a haircut

17. I hate driving automatic cars…. It feels like driving a bump car …it may not be a big deal with us pinoys but I love being one of the few people in US who can drive a stick shift

19. dancing is not one of my best skills, my husband says I look funny when I dance…I really wish I can be graceful and flexible, I even have a hard time doing aerobics… I suck at sports too, the only sport I can play is badminton and my sister won’t even want to play it with me coz she said I suck at it

20. I am so bad with video games too… the only video game I was able to finish was resident evil 4…and I wouldn’t be able to do that if my husband didn’t upload his already bad ass “leon kennedy” with all his strengths and weapons in my memory card…. Imagine using a rocket launcher to annihilate those “ganados” at the very start of the game…..awesomeness!!!

21. i love food network, I stay up late at night watching it….i think chef tyler florence and bobby flay is hot….my husband is a fan of giada

22. I have never consumed any alcoholic drinks since I got pregnant… that makes me sober for about 4 years I guess…. I made an oath to not to, till my baby is able to eat or go to the restroom by himself or is able to dial 911… and of course communicate with the 911 rep

23. I really, really miss the beach…….north texas has no beach and is so not picturesque, it’s so blah.... I am not rushing my baby to grow up but I am so excited to bring him and my husband to a lot of road trips so I can take photograph of real landscapes…(fyi…I love living in texas anyways coz it’s so laid back, peaceful and most of all inexpensive)

24. i am very picky with my friends and only have a few but I am very loyal to them…and I love them so much …..I feel I’m never gonna win a popularity contest.

25. I wish to retire in the Philippines on a house along the beaches of palawan.

texas weather is like a person with manic depression one day it is so warm sunny and bright the very next day it will freeze your bone to the core....today i got to fully experience north texas extreme weather...my very first time ever in the 5 years of living here to drive on ice and walk on ice ( i used to have ezekiel drive me or just stay at home....but i can't afford to miss work anymore coz i already have 3 unscheduled absences and two more and i will get a verbal warning)...now i know the feeling of literally walking on ice...and dude it was hard!....and unlike most american drivers i am driving a manual transmission ( which i really prefer coz automatic feels like driving a bump car)so that makeS it even more difficult...it is soooh weird seeing all those cars...it's like watching a movie in slow motion....i was driving a school zone speed on a 40 MPH road....i had to back up and reroute after reaching the subdivision exit bec i couldn't go forward on the uphill...the engine just kept on revolutioning and instead of going up i kept on skiding down..and this stupid guy on the other subdivision was looking at me like i am some form of entertainment to him......so i had to reroute and take the longer way....it took me 45 mins going to work which normally only takes 15 mins or less....and sobrang irritating itong honda edge who was behind me at one time, i can feel the aura of impatience surrounding his SUV from the way he's tailing me.....the nerve of that driver! and i was saying out loud "go ahead and dare to overtake if you're brave enough" then when we finally got to the wider road he finally did overtook me, stupid moron! he was driving 50 miles on the sleety road....then i finally got to the ofc and then i had to walk small steps at a time.... i felt like singing "moshi-moshi anone" along with that...

A BLOG

after so many people have gone tired of blogging....( why do so when you got all those social networking sites that has the same ability) i finally made my first official blog ever .....i've been itching to do one since it's idle most of the time here at work ( yes, jealous?)... but i can't seem to remember my password and i don't have access to my personal email at work to retrieve it...so i finally got the chance to find a way to do it and here i am blogging....

......here comes the sun!....and i say...it's NOT alright!...it's AWESOME!!!!..

maybe the first blog ever also has something to do with the beautiful weather....after weeks and weeks of freezing temp....at long last!!!!! the thermometer finally hits the upper 70's in the beatiful city of arlington texas..priteehhhh!!!!..... better savor the moment while it lasts....coz come to think of it, winter's not officially over.... hay naku...sana summer na!
